Kemada are very active in numerous power generation schemes that are helping the UK build a cleaner, greener and more sustainable future.
SHORT TERM OPERATING RESERVE (STOR) PLANTS
Kemada provide a full Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) service and have an extensive portfolio designing and installing some of the most complex and technically challenging project work associated with Short Term Operating Reserve (STOR) sites. These power generation plants support peak demand on the electrical supply infrastructure supplementing electricity to the network using gas generator turbines to convert gas into useable electrical energy. With over 400MW of installations completed to date throughout the UK, Kemada have market leading knowledge and expertise to deliver any size of project.
PV SOLAR POWER
Kemada have the means to supply and implement all of the high voltage infrastructure for PV solar power systems right through to the final commissioning with the Distribution Network Operator (DNO), including high and low voltage switchgear, inverters, transformers and distribution systems. Since the beginning of 2010, Kemada have been installing the power infrastructure and substations for large ground mount PV plants from the North of England to the Isle of Wight.
We can implement both low and high voltage installations, providing a full range of electrical services and turnkey solutions to harness the wind’s energy. Kemada have connected and commissioned wind turbines throughout the UK for various customers and turbine manufacturers.
BIOMASS FUEL HANDLING
Correctly managed, biomass is a sustainable fuel that can deliver substantial reductions in net carbon emissions. Kemada have many years’ experience designing, supplying and installing biomass handling systems for industries, including coal-fired power stations and the food industry.
